What is YouX Hiding
Background.
In 2022, a Student submitted joint freedom of information requests to the University and The Adelaide University Union (now rebranded as YouX).
After being refused information from our student union on the costings of the rebrand, they sought this and other information to enhance transparency of the organisation.
The University in their initial determination released, some but not all identified doucments. After a lengthy internal review, and external review process, the University was compelled to provide most of the documents identified.
The AUU on the other hand, did not acknowledge that they were even an agency. Refusing to properly speak with the student. After an external review found that the AUU should release most of the documents, they commenced legal proceedings in SACAT. Eventually the AUU gave in an provided the documents in this website to the student to make public.

Why it matters.
The ongoing legal dispute cost students money. Your YouX Membership should be going to support students with services but an amount of this money was allocated to lawyers and legal fees.
You deserve to have your money spent where it matters. You additionally deserve to know what your student union is up to.
